Signage is any kind of visual graphics created to display information to a particular audience. When Led’s are used for such displays then these are called LED signs. LED stands for Light Emitting Diode. Led’s are much different and far more efficient than incandescent light bulbs. This light emitted can be used in several ways. LED signs is one of the uses of these lights. Different LED signs are there because of different pixel arrangement. A pixel is a cluster of two or more Led’s, each delivering a single point of light or color. Some pixels are clusters of single colored Led’s; the pixels used in color signs combine red, green, and blue Led’s. Arranged in rows and columns, thousands of pixels go into every sign. Quality of an LED sign is determined by its pitch. The pitch of an LED sign is the distance between each pixel. The closer the pixels the crisper and more realistic your image appears. The LED viewing angle refers to the angle at which you view a sign. When you look at an LED straight on, it is at full brightness. As you view the LED from different directions, the brightness changes. This is typical for all LED signs, but some have a wider viewing angle, allowing you to see more of the image .Monochrome (single color) LED signs have been around a long time. Commonly available with either red or amber Led’s, they are a proven way to get your message - especially text messages - to your audience. Some monochrome displays also allow you to display graphics or short animations in thousands of shades. Color (RGB) LED signs can do everything the monochrome signs can, yet they can also display videos, animations, and even live events, and deliver your messages in literally millions of eye-catching colors. Forbidden Signs $22.5 Forbidden Signs explores American culture from the mid-nineteenth century to 1920 through the lens of one striking episode: the campaign led by Alexander Graham Bell and other prominent Americans to suppress the use of sign language among deaf people. The ensuing debate over sign language invoked such fundamental questions as what distinguished Americans from non-Americans, civilized people from "savages," humans from animals, men from women, the natural from the unnatural, and the normal from the abnormal. An advocate of the return to sign language, Baynton found that although the grounds of the debate have shifted, educators still base decisions on many of the same metaphors and images that led to the misguided efforts to eradicate sign language. "Baynton's brilliant and detailed history, Forbidden Signs , reminds us that debates over the use of dialects or languages are really the linguistic tip of a mostly submerged argument about power, social control, nationalism, who has the right to speak and who has the right to control modes of speech."—Lennard J. Davis, The Nation " Forbidden Signs is replete with good things."—Hugh Kenner, New York Times Book Review |

A Time of the Signs $16.99 "Can the growing fascination with UFO cultism and the Biblical prophecy identifying a charismatic World leader be related - in rallying the cause of a One World Order? You decide. Planet Earth. Six-and-a-half billion people. Eight principal races - with numerous ethnic dialects. Six primary religions - with countless cult-oriented derivatives. A planet so fractionalized across its man-made borders that hatred grows exponentially each day. How can a One World Order ever be ushered in? How can global unity ever truly come into existence? It will take more than a misguided, utopian socialist agenda from the liberal left. It will take more than a charismatic peacemaker emerging onto the world scene. It will require a threat greater than any threat ever posed in terms of man against man, tribe against tribe, nation against nation. What began as a routine documentary for the SCI-FAC network, has challenged James Devlin's already compromised faith and led him to the doorstep of hell. literally. Dan Floersch, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, has been involved in corporate marketing & advertising for over twenty-five years. He has authored one non-fiction book - Compromising America's Heritage: The Filing For Moral Bankruptcy. His desire to inspire non-believers to re-evaluate their position on the concepts of eternal existence and Christ's gift of salvation was a primary catalyst for this novel, along with the desire to leave a Godly legacy to his son - a reminder relative to the increasingly deceptive anti-Christian tactics imposed upon our everyday world through the media outlets, the entertainment industry, the news industry, the public educational system, the Democratic Party, and liberalactivists at large. We pray for them - we're just not confident that most will ever open their hearts and willingly submit themselves to Him. Dan currently resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Lana, and their son, Anthony (A.J.)." |

Saussure: Signs, System and Arbitrariness $70.1 The Swiss linguist Ferdinand de Saussure (18571913) has exerted a profound influence not only on twentieth century linguistics but on a whole range of disciplines within the humanities and social sciences. His central thesis was that the primary object in studying a language is the state of that language at a particular timea socalled synchronic study. He went on to claim that a language state is a socially constituted system of signs that are quite arbitrary and that can only be defined in terms of their relationship within the system. This new perspective has changed the way people think about linguistics and has led to important attempts to apply structuralist ideas in anthropology, literary criticism, and philosophy. Professor Holdcrofts book expounds and elaborates Saussures central ideas. It also offers a critical assessment of them, arguing that many of Saussures claims are either questionable or have been misunderstood. The book will be read with profit by nonspecialists and could be used as a textbook by students of linguistics, philosophy of language, literary criticism and anthropology. Author: Holdcroft, David Series Title: Modern European Philosophy (Paperback) Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 196 Publication Date: 1991/04/26 Language: English Dimensions: 5.50 x 8.50 x 0.45 inches |

Signs - $7.99 Following the smash hit The Sixth Sense (1999) and the under-performing follow-up Unbreakable (2000), directing phenom M. Night Shyamalan returns to the summer box office landscape that served as the backdrop for his cinematic breakthrough. In Signs, another paranormal outing for the writer-director, Shyamalan explores the eerie implications of a 500-foot crop circle that mysteriously appears on the Bucks County, PA farm of reverend Graham Hess (Mel Gibson). As Hess and his family (Joaquin Phoenix, Rory Culkin, Abigail Breslin) try to take stock of what the sign means, and how its message incorporates into their faith, they start to get the feeling they are not alone in the fields behind their house. Shyamalan re-teams with producers Frank Marshall, Sam Mercer and Kathleen Kennedy, and produces the project in association with his Blinding Edge Pictures banner and Touchstone Pictures. ~ Derek Armstrong, Rovi |
